Walk around your neighborhood and see how many times you and your child can spot the number 2. Try looking at signs, in store windows, and at license plates.

After your child traces a number in the game, draw the same number with a pencil and ask him to trace it with a crayon. Then, have him draw that number of circles and count them together!

Count backwards to zero! Put five pieces of a healthy snack on a plate and have your child count down after each one is eaten. When you reach zero, talk about how zero means there are none left.

Create your own sorting challenge. Dump out blocks on the floor and have your child sort them by shape. Mix the blocks back up and have him sort by color or size.
